Sings of a gravid veiled ready to lay

I need to know some of the signs that a veiled is ready to lay. She stopped eating yesterday and has been under the UV light gapping and swaying all morning.

With mine you can normally see the eggs at the leg area, sometimes you can't and they do get restless before they lay. Mine have laid on day 29 or 30 everytime.

Make sure to cover the cage with a towel or sheet so they have complete solitude to lay. I use a beach towel and cover all but the top and back since its up against the wall and that will still let your UV light.

Some will not lay until conditions are perfect, tons of extra vegetation and covering the cage sides seem to help give them the privacy they need.

I use a large flower pot that is about 14" deep and 12" diameter filled about 10" with damp sand, with a few stick going to the center of the pot for easy access.

When a female is getting ready to lay a clutch of eggs, she will often go off food and become restless walking around her enclosure a lot more than usual looking for a place to lay. Unfortunately, ever female will be different with the signs she shows so you'll just need to watch for behavior changes. Here are a couple good articles with information on laying bins:
