YARNELL, Ariz. -
Prescott Fire Department confirmed at least 18 firefighters have died while battling the Yarnell Hill fire on Sunday night. They're part of the Prescott Granite Mountain Hotshots.

The wildfire was likely caused by a lightning strike Saturday night.

The Yarnell Hill fire, about 35 miles southwest of Prescott, has burned about 1,300 acres and forced the evacuation of 50 homes.

Yeah, count is officially 19 dead now. Looks like they were caught when the wind shifted.

Very Dangerous work. Winds are the biggest fear in wildfires.

It's extremely dangerous, seems like it's only been a month since those four Houston firefighters lost their lives in a hotel blaze. It takes a very brave kind of hero to go in that line of saving others. My thoughts and prayers go out to them, and people can visit firehero.org to help or donate directly to the families of the fallen in Prescott at http://www.prescottffcharities.org/how-you-can-help/
