Gave the contrast on this one a 7% increase to sharpen it a bit, I was going to just not include the pic since it could be a bit misleading, but it's just such a good picture!

Very nice chahoua. Can you post parent pics? Unfortunately, I wouldn't call either high white. They either are born with the white collar/splotching, or they never get it. Its not a facet of the color change from hatchling to adult.

This is a hatchling of 6g that has white:

Here is a baby just after hatching, still wet with goo, that has white

Just want to be sure that the animals are being accurately represented because without being familiar with the species, its easy to make a mistake.

What lineage are these?

Thanks for the kind words. I know chahoua are usually born with the white splotching or white collar if that's how they end up looking as adults, but on occasion some animals develop some white as they mature (otherwise how would have the white collar animals have come about in the first place, ya know?). I think anyone would agree what it's pretty hard to predict how a chahoua's color patterning will change throughout its life - personally I find them one of the most difficult species to predict adult coloration for. I thought I put "one showing signs of possibly being high white" in the title but looking back I just realized that I didn't - I would never guarantee what a chahoua would look like as an adult, so I definitely should have put "possibly" in the title. Thanks for the heads up.

I don't know the lineage, and I'm working on getting pics of the parents (I got these two as part of a trade and I don't really need them).

Chahoua aren't my specialty, but I breed all species of Rhacs except Trachys - and specialize in multi thousand dollar GT leachianus - so I appreciate your concern about representing animals properly during a sale because with leachianus that's definitely one of my biggest pet peeves.
