We got a couple of snowflakes where I live, but surrounding counties got 2-3 inches. Kinda upset because we were the only schools that actually went today... everyone else got out due to inclement weather! Tomorrow's high is 28! Gonna be a cold one!

Got hammered with snow but the wind was killer. I got to work and the walk to the employee door was brutal. It was like minus 25 with windchill. 7 out now with minus 15 windchill. Flu and Pneumonia and sinus infections running rampant at work also.

Well much warmer than last week but the snow started at 8 pm last night and just stopped about 1.5 hours ago. My street is a mess. They'll start plowing it about the time I turn the light off for bed.

If it helps, I am completely jealous. I have been waiting anxiously for some of the white stuff since November. We have a small chance of getting some tonight but I'm not too optimistic.
It should be against the law to have cold weather and no snow .

It has been chilly, rainy and cold this past week, too dreary to work in the garden. But this short article gave me some perspective:

Heck, Connie and I both came down with the flu late last week, so it really doesn't matter what the weather is like outside.

Rich, I was just around your neck of the woods the other day at the Guard armory up in Quincy. It was definitely way colder up there than it was here in Gainesville!!

Well, with a couple of nights between Thursday night and Monday morning forecast to be in the upper 20s here, I figured I'd better get a few pics of the trees flowering before the cold killed the blooms.

This one is a Japanese magnolia.

Pear tree.

Apple tree.

I wish it was 70.

I'm so envious of you all right now.
This is what my yard looks like right now
