Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

OT - Rattlesnake roundup
We have a barbaric ritual in this country called rattlesnake roundup. Hundreds of rattlers are caught and tortured and killed annually. The rattlesnake population is declining and it needs to be stopped. Please pass the word and read more here:

But, thanks for posting that, sorry about my reaction, it was rude. I think that fauna is a great place to post that. What they do is cruel and unsanitary, it should be stopped.

I know that I have tunnelvision when it comes to forums. I am on over 2 dozen forums and I dont see a lot of stuff not posted in areas I frequent. Even though I have many snakes, I don't visit those forums, so.... Just trying to spread the word as best I can. Please feel free to post it everywhere you think people might see it and help.

Hi,
My name is Abhishek Prasad, and I am on the Board of Directors with the Las Cruces Reptile Rescue, whose director, Roy Thibedeau wrote this petition. On behalf of Roy, and the Rescue, I'd like to thank everyone who has signed the petition (over 3000 signatures!), and personally thank beardiedragon for posting the petition link around. Our goal is 10,000...we are also circulating hard copies around NM to collect local signatures.

I saw a rattlesnake roundup on the news years ago. I thought that it had been banned since I hadn't heard of it for a while. Thanks for informing us that it's still going on and that there is something that we CAN do to help stop it. I really hope that you reach your goal of 10,000 so that we can stop this cruelty!
