? regarding feeding live

for some reason goldy has decided that he no longer wishes to take f/t at all no matter what i do. finally gave in a threw in a mouse yesterday after a month of not eating. he took it like a champ. planning on buying a rat later this week since the mouse is just a small snack for him. i dewormed him about 4 months agos because he went through this stint. how often should a deworming be done if he decides to stick to eating live? should i do it 2 times a year or more? thanks for the info.

sometimes ball pythons just do that. I've got a couple that took me awhile to get onto f/t and, after experiencing one cool night (77`) about 6 weeks ago, have refused to eat f/t again. Sometimes the littlest things can throw them off. As far as the deworming, did you do the full course (as recommended for whichever medication you used)? Typically, it will consist of 2-3 doses a week or two apart. If you did not, it is possible that your efforts were less than fully effective. Some people do deworm yearly, simply as prophylaxis...but personally, I prefer to treat problems with meds & avoid them with husbandry.

yep i did that. right now i'm having a prob with humidity keeping in the 55 gallon(have a thread on that going). just don't want him to get sick on me.
