Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Profile: Pepper
Pepper is a new addition. She is a 2006 Jungle female, virgin. I am looking forward to her babies as she has a very unique color and pattern. She was a little grumpy so I didn't get the greatest pictures. Hopefully new pictures will be just around the corner.

Gorgeous jungle!!
But I've got a question for you that's a little off-topic. What are your cages treated with on the inside?? I've thought of making some nice ones with select-woods, but I've been concerned about what to top-coat the wood with, that won't harm the snake, yet still protect it from snake.

Thank you Matt. The wood is stained, and then treated with regular MIN-WAX in a satin polyurethane. I coat it as many times 4, its still a pain to clean if the happen to get poo or pee on the sides. Next cage I build will have something going up the sides about 4 inches, as thats as high as I have had to clean so far. Sometimes it stains white from there urates, no matter how much I scrub. I would recommend coating the wood THICK, letting it dry well before each coat, atleast 4-5 times. I put this stuff on too thin, thats my problem.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna have to build myself a nice stack. Laminate material would be great to glue to the floors and several inches up the sides. With so many choices for counter-tops, you could pick something to compliment the wood that you choose (as opposed to bright white that would look out of place) and still keep it cleaner.

I found a local supplier that sells it in....I think they're 4'x8 or 4'x10 sheets that are rolled up. It's been a while since I needed to buy any, but I think it's around $40-$50 and up, depending on what pattern you want. Google Wilson Art and Formica, and see what vendors pop up in your area. Those are the only brand names that I can think of off the top of my head.

She really is a good looking girl! What are you planning to pair her with?

Dierk. My super hypo jungle. He gets 2 ladies, but they will be separate pairings, one early in the year, one later. Basically just going to be waiting for my window of opportunity with either.
