Desert Tortoise Rehoming Assistance

A friend of mine has passed away, and her ~27 year old female desert tortoise needs a home. Does anyone have any good contacts with tortoise rescues in Southern California? She is in beautiful health and condition.

You can have her contact the California Turtle and Tortoise Club (CTTC): or put up a free adoption ad on forums like this one or Whichever route you go, finding a home for the big ol' gal shouldn't be too tough. Good luck!
