Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

state laws?
while i was looking for information about state laws regarding herps i stumbled upon this website. i was wondering if anyone knew what the regulations on venomoid snakes were in the state of Rhode Island. i still have only a small collection, but i'm very eager to expand and dont want to do anything that could legally jeprodize my animals. it would be much appreciated if someone could direct me to a site so i could obtain this information

I am not sure about RI, but most states do not distinguish between venomoid and fully intact snakes. They are still treated as fully venomous. I would highly encourage you to go to the venomous forum here and read the numerous threads on venomoids prior to you purchasing one. A high percentage of the surgeries are performed illegally by non-vets.
