I can't stand wasps. We have mud daubers here that make those awful nests, and there is some kind of wasp that was building nests inside the wind chimes so that I had to bring them in (the chimes, not the wasps).
And the yellow jackets build nests on the porch and then buzz you if you walk through, takes nerve to try to buzz me off my own porch.

Hey Dave
Those are full of caterpillers and or spiders with a wasp larva feeding...each tunnell contains mant chambers and they have not pupated out as there are no external holes

I just got stung by a wasp yesterday while working outside. Not fun.

ewwwwwwwwwwwwww Mud Daubers! i HATE bees!!

They make cool nests though, but im terrified of the littler suckers.

They are just being made. I have watched them progress in size over the past few days.

Those wasps are pretty neat. Making homes from mud and spit. Tracking down, paralyzing and carrying dinner from wherever to the nest, and then flying away to die.

There are some awfully pretty ones too. I've got some that are multichamber builders out here, little wads of mud with "stuff" happening inside.

dirt daubers are mostly harmless. We end up with those all over. Kind of neat bugs.
