Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Yes IMO and many others... there is a night and day difference between KC and the D.Moines show. As much as it saddens me to say it. I have vended The KC show many time and it ALWAYS has a NICE turn out with alot of great people.
I feel D.Moines has great potential. But alot more could be done to promote the show,to pull in more people,venders,ect...

Right! With all of these herp related sites,forums ect...It would take very little effort for the show directors. To jump on the net place some ads,post on forums ect.... To turn a mediocre show into a great show.
Same goes for Iowa herpetological society. Most people dont even know IA has one

Nothing thats close. I know a few people close with some pretty big private collections. That I wheel and deal with, but that is about exciting as it get for me without going for a road trip.
