Question Breeding imports

My question is, are import females difficult to get to breed? I know alot are hard to get started feeding. If I buy a few ch females and get them feeding really good, is there anything I would have to do with them that I wouldn't have to do with cbb females to get them to breed?

Good question. I have a pair of imports and a pair of CBB that will be breeding this season that are the same species. The imports have really been big trouble for me as far as feeding, I really think I may pass up breeding the import pair this year. I have not decided if I am going to try yet. If I do decide to breed them this will be an easier way for me to learn. The female has just started eating after being on a rediculous fast. In six months during this fast she went through she shed 4 times and ate only 2 times. The male had shed 5 times and has eaten 6 times. Sorry I am not able to fully answer your questions.

Thanks, I've read a couple of things on the imports. It seems that nobody has come right out and said either yes they have had success with them or no they aren't worth it. I would love to get a pair of het albinos from Top Shelf for my first time breeding balls, but don't have the cash I would just like to know if I would be wasting my time with imports or not.

Thanks again

Imports usually take 2 years or more to get acclimated and or breed. There are rare instances when females and males will breed before that, but it usually takes this long. CB are the best bet.
