Itinerary #34, March 7th!! Get Your orders in and ready for transport!!

Greetings,

I have chosen to keep, update and bump this ad instead of making a new one, as it holds good and relevant information in this intro, for I've had people thinking I was done with the service.

For those who didn’t know, I had resumed January’s itinerary on January 23 and competed it on February 4; I even had Shipments added in light (or darkness?) of “Operation Viper”, You Guys fuckin’ rocked!! Well; due to needing recuperation, spending time with my daughter who lives with me, and to catch up on things, but also to be here for the Hamburg Reptile Expo on February 25 (I have been a vendor there for >6 years with my own table under my own name for those who didn’t know), I could not fit in a February itinerary between the 4th and 25th. The reasoning for not going out last month was that simple. You can blame the authorities. >.>

And so; no. I am not done. No government entity can keep me down, and I will not stay down. For those who read my Facebook Post on January 20, ‘Some Thoughts and Intel from a Horse’s Mouth’, You read how and why they cannot keep me down, and my stance on everything.

In a nutshell; what I do is, federally speaking, 100% legal and legitimate, and also by most states’ regulations. And as far as I am concerned and knew, I was 100% legal and compliant in the State of Georgia where I was detained and currently being charged by, with NO criminal intent.

Obscure Gems Reptiles, LLC, is a legitimate animal transporter specializing in venomous reptiles but also transports cats, dogs and exotic mammals, too, even the occasional animal skeleton for a particular Client, among other, occasional oddball things (exempli gratia: books, caging, supplies).

Obscure Gems Reptiles is a Limited Liability Company with an Employee Identification Number, is USDA-registered, has Pet Care Insurance, and currently has a Business Owner General Liability policy among other professional developments and coverages in the works, as I am always trying to cover more bases and be absolutely thorough.

What started off as a simple, noble intention by Lois and I to help out the Venomous Circle during early COVID adversities in Autumn 2020, NO profit to be made and NOT intended to last (this) long, blossomed into something magnificent, reputable and profitable thanks to You All, and of course to my business mindset (and Lois' contributions). (Although; not much profit is to be had honestly, not at an average of ≈$1,200/mo NET, no thanks to ≈80% in expenses/overhead, and this is before mortgage, electric, sewage and water ≈ $850/mo ≈ $350 left over, which I spend mostly on my daughter these days. But I enjoy doing what I do, it is therapeutic, and I love seeing You All [I suppose that’s part of the therapy, haha, right up with trekking the frontier - never gets old]. However; with intentions to venture more into mammal Shipments this year, profit will hopefully increase.)

Conclusion: I am no longer, and haven’t been for a while, some casual “backyard” adventurer slinging venomous serpents around the country (always lawfully, though, do note). Id est; this is my vocation, I work hard at it to provide for my daughter and I (and hopefully, for a wife one day, if destined for me), and I perform this task professionally, as well as legally to the best of my knowledge and awareness on latest regulations.

At 2 1/4 years and 34 itineraries later, I would think and hope Clients have witnessed, and outsiders (including DNRs) can imagine, some developments, measures and ‘micro-evolution’ OGR has undertaken in the direction of legality, professionalism and safety. And on that note, as addressed in my Facebook Post, don’t believe the lie-propaganda of the media, such as the BS on labeling and caging; after all, WSB (Georgia) claimed I had 200 serpents when detained. No. I had twenty-nine (29), SMFH. That should clue You in enough…but then, “everyone believes a journalist”, don’t they?

Sincerely,

Timothy Gould

P.S. There will be at least one (1) change to my conventional itinerary ads, a change I have contemplated since last Summer and which has been hinted at in all of my ads since then (‘Nota Bene: These Google Maps GPS screenshots aren't entirely accurate…’, after the bold paragraph near the end), and that will be: No more GPS screenshots, as they gods-honestly have never depicted a 100% accurate path LOL. I am simply, overly and unnecessarily detailed and thorough, which is why I always included them to provide some general idea of where I am traveling through, but I will just be sticking to my list of Stops from here on out, kinda like a Metal concert tour date list. :P

Also; from here on out, I will only be allowing grandfathered Clientele unless 3 or 5 references can be provided, who I will verify with. I suppose an example of exception would be a new Client selling or receiving exotic venomous reptiles in Pennsylvania, the Virginias or the Carolinas, none of which require a state permit, so, I may or may not worry about references. However; although not my legal obligation, I may start requiring IDs from prospective new Clients from states not requiring a permit for whichever respective category of venomous they are pursuing: Exotic and/or Native, as there are people who travel from, say, New England to the Hamburg Reptile Expo to secure venomous reptiles, and who’s to say that won’t be attempted in my service?

So yeah; just like at the Pennsylvania shows, where vendors are not legally required to ID buyers, it is not required of me if picking up or delivering animals within a state that are legal without a permit, but it is wise to do so, and thus, I plan to implement this new rule of my service. I will also ask for the ID in-person to confirm it is not fake.

*****

NOTA BENE #1: Please see my PSA 'ad' posted on January 4: https://www.faunaclassifieds.com/for...d.php?t=804297. It is a proposition that may appeal to a few.

NOTA BENE #2: For established Clients, I am accepting cash payments again and will even encourage them to some degree; id est, I need to make sure there are enough electronic payments to pay for gas because I don't make cash deposits until I am home from itineraries, not that I can't pay for gas with cash, but I receive points and discounts with my GasBuddy, Shell, Exxon and BP rewards programs, and it's much easier, quicker n' nicer paying at the pump - especially during Winter. First-time Clients will need to pay electronically.

NOTA BENE #3: Payments are to be made IN FULL before departure for any Shipments confirmed prior to departure!!! ...and immediately for any Shipments confirmed after departure!!! And there will be NO refund for a canceled Shipment if I have already departed and configured the itinerary to accommodate the Shipment!!!

Does Delta allow You to pay days or weeks after Pickup? NO!!! So, NO MORE paying days or weeks after Delivery!!! If my service is too expensive to pay up front, go with Delta, plain n' simple! This service is expensive for me, and I am sick of waiting on payments sometimes, such as $150 still owed from the December 2022 itinerary (as of 03/02/23) - money already spent on gas, tolls and wear n' tear delivering that Shipment! "Burn me once, shame on You; burn me twice, shame on me", but there won't be a second time.

Corny metaphor: Think of the $100-$125 most Sellers charge for Delta as a restaurant bill, and the extra $25 ($50 during Winter) for my service as the tip...and You shouldn't dine out unless You can tip appropriately (20% every time from me, 15% minimum for horrible service...I know how the restaurant business goes, ha, having worked in it). But then, many people don't tip... *Annoyed emoji*

For the occasional Client who has repeatedly proven him/herself, if he/she has a very good reason and provides me ample notice, I will allow a li'l leeway IF the majority of payments are in.

NOTA BENE #4: The Winter rate for one (1) Pickup going to a Customer (Recipient) is still $175, and the reasoning can be read in the article, Fuel Economy in Cold Weather: https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/cold...yjKrD48UZfxVBk. The WINTER PRICE MATRIX is below; however, this may remain the new standard.

NOTA BENE #5: Please follow this link to my Obscure Gems Reptiles, LLC, page: https://www.facebook.com/Obscure-Gem...07953575277946, and read my Conditional Live Arrival Guarantee (more like Exemptions from Live Arrival Guarantee) and Payment Terms & Conditions, the latter Pinned to the top of the page.

*****

WINTER PRICE MATRIX (for multiple Pickups being delivered at the same time, to one [1] Destination)

One (1) Pickup = $175
Two (2) Pickups = $325
Three (3) Pickups = $450
Four (4) Pickups = $550
Five (5) Pickups = $650
Six (6) Pickups = $750
Successive Pickups will continue to be $100/ea on top of the $750.

Another way of wording it:

1st Pickup = $175
2nd Pickup = $150
3rd Pickup = $125
4th Pickup = $100
5th Pickup = $100
6th Pickup = $100
Successive Pickups will continue to be $100/ea.

NOTA BENE: This is per itinerary by the way, not in the whole history of using my service. Id est; a Client during my July 2022 itinerary thought that using my service a second time (successive itinerary), Shipments (Pickups) would only be $125 for that second itinerary (or in the case of Winter, $150), and so on. No. This is not how that works. The first Shipment (Pickup) of an itinerary will always be $150 ($175 during Winter), and so on down the (Winter) Price Matrix from there.

Also, NOTA BENE: This is when ALL Stops, id est all Pickups + Delivery, are within Standard Territory, id est: All of Pennsylvania down the east coast to Tampa, across the Gulf down to San Antonio, over to San Angelo and straight up through the greater eastern halves/portions of OK/KS/NE, up to Minneapolis, the lower halves of WI and MI, and everything within. Create imaginary latitudinal and longitudinal lines if You will, and there You have it. This is all give-or-take by the way; id est, I don't cut hairs.

Id est; for each Stop, whether Pickup or Delivery, outside of Standard Territory, there will be a surcharge. This is called Extended Territory. Examples:

$25: Laredo, Lubbock & Odessa, TX; Alliance, NE
$50: El Paso, TX; Cheyenne, WY; Grygla, MN
$75: Amado, Tucson & Phoenix, AZ

Very rarely, a Shipment will incur both the Seller and Customer (Recipient) being in Extended Territories, in which there will be two (2) surcharges. Exempli gratia: El Paso, TX-->Alliance, NE would be $250 total: $175 (base fee) + $50 (El Paso surcharge) + $25 (Alliance surcharge).

ADDENDUM: If there are multiple Shipments associated with an Extended Territory Stop, whether incoming and/or outgoing, or associated with the general region, I will lessen everyone's costs - all of the way down to the standard rate if possible ($175), and it often only requires 2 or 3 Shipments associated with such a Stop or region to come down that low! Basically, the $50 surcharge to El Paso for example, would be divided over all Shipments associated with that Stop or region, or negated altogether if, again, 2 or 3 Shipments are associated with that Stop or region (id est, multiple Stops in El Paso or surrounding area).

'The more, the merrier', which makes it more worthwhile to go to these Extended Territories where business is otherwise skimpy, if instead there is more business. I hate the idea of my surcharges, but I need to be fair to myself via not cutting my own throat...West Texas and northern Minnesota aren't exactly cakewalks LOL.

Exceptionally large Shipments still incur their own surcharge (possibly on top of an Extended Territory surcharge[s]), whether a single large animal (exempli gratia, an adult D. polylepis, O. hannah or Lachesis sp.), a large pair of animals (e.g., full-grown B. rhinoceros), or a gazillion animals. It is typically a $25 or $50 surcharge.

It was great catching up with you! Keep up the GREAT service you provide to the reptile industry.

Don't let anyone walk on you, or get you down. keep a good positive attitude, things will definitely work out for you. All of us that truly know you, know you're a standup guy, that goes by the book.

You & I both know the way people are today, "you're guilty, until proven innocent" not innocent, until proven guilty.

Keep on keeping on, see you in March..
