Ball Python question

So I built a snake rack about a month back and finally housed my snakes in them. I fed them in the snake rack. I used to feed them in cardboard boxes.. but since I feed them in the rack they're always in S positioning when I'm about to pull the tub out. what should do I do?

Use an empty paper towel tube to boop snoots before putting your hand near them.

Melinda is right on. Gently touching the end of their nose with the paper towel tube let's them know it's not feeding time. Most snakes will snap out of it when you do that. Some use a snake hook, but I prefer to use something made of a softer material, like cardboard, because the snake is less likely to injure itself by striking at it. Paper towel tube is perfect.

use an almost empty roll of paper towels to touch their nose.
