Griz, bummer it did not work out. New cages may make a big difference for you. Have you tried using two humidifiers? That may give you just what you need for humidity.

Just a quick note on the PE1 temp guns.. Make sure you have it 1 ince or less and straight down on the item being measured.. It has a 1:1 ratio.. If you cant get it figured out when the new caging arrives give me a call Bob, we will figure it out or Ill replace the unit.. Cant be having a temp flux as thAt drives me insane.. Just curious as if you ahve gotten the problem fixed?

Nope, not fixed yet. I am hoping to have my first stack of cages delivered yet this week. I still have a very wide variance between shelves. That is good to know on the PE1 guns as that is not how I was doing it. I am shooting from about 3 inches away and at a diagonal.

Once my cages get here I will run 2 foot strips under each cage and into their own plug. Hopefully that will take care of it. I have a suspicion that it's not the thermostats as I swapped out the two I have and still am getting the same problems. I will keep you posted. Thanks Matt.
