Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Marcia, I don't know how to express the sympathy I feel for you and your family. That was a very fitting tribute you wrote to your dad. I'm glad you shared it with everyone.

Marcia,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. You obviously had a wonderful father who loved and cherished his family, his country, and his faith. I am in total admiration of him as he sounds like an amazing man. I will be thinking of you in the coming week. I know that he will get the special good-bye that he deserves. Good luck to you and your family and please accept my deepest sympathies.
Nicole

That was a beautiful tribute that I am sure made justice to a great man. Although I am new to the forum, I would like to let you know that I too am sorry to hear about your loss and that my thoughts will be with you and your family at this troubling time.

I can only imagine how devastated you must be.
Four months ago, I lost a wonderful friend suddenly and extremely unexpectedly...the only hint of reassurance was the fact that I was with her when she left. Initially, the eulogy poem from "Four Weddings and a Funeral" came to mind, but upon further scrutiny, I noticed how pessimistic the last line was.
This Anonymous poem helped me out in this difficult time & I'd like to share it with you:
We do not need a special day to bring you to our minds.
The days we do not think of you are very hard to find.
Each morning when we awake we know that you are gone.
And no one knows the heartache as we try to carry on.
Our hearts still ache with sadness and secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you no one will ever know.
Our thoughts are always with you, your place no one can fill.
In life we loved you dearly; in death we love you still.
There will always to be a heartache, and often a silent tear.
But always a precious memory of the days when you were here.
If tears would make a staircase, and heartaches make a lane,
We'd walk the path to heaven and bring you home again.
We hold you close within our hearts; and there you will remain,
To walk with us throughout our lives until we meet again.
Our family chain is broken now, and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
