Baby San Felipe Rosy Boas!

This morning I went into my rosy room to discover my big female San Felipe Rosy Boa getting ready to give birth. She produced 11 babies of which 2 were still born (I have deleted the pics of the still borns as they just make me sad). However, the 9 surviving babies that I ended up with are still way beyond my expectations in both color and litter size.

Bummer about the still borns and the slug, but I must admit, you have some awesome rosy boas, some of the best I have ever seen. I have never owned one, my brother owned a baja. Just out of curiosity, what is the price range of rosy boas? I guess I can look on kingsnake to find out. Beautiful babies!!!

Thanks, I like them too! I was really bummed over the still borns, but very excited at the huge size of that litter (11 babies! That is a really big litter). Local Rosy Boas go for about $75.00 on up to $150.00 for babies. Color morphs start at $175.00 (Whitewater albinos) and go on up to $4000.00 (Snows).

Thanks Shenell. I really felt bad for the little deformed guy, but it could not have ever survived. I was actually happy that it did not live. I was more disapointed about the perfect looking still born. There was just no aparent reason that it should not have lived. It appeared perfectly healthy (except for not moving). When I picked it up, I thought it was alive. I guess I felt more sorry for the little mutant, but more of a sence of loss from the other one. But just like in life, you have to take the bad with the good, and 9 beautiful Babies is definetly good.
