Turing on the incubator

Well looks like it's time to try for 'Pixel Pied' again! I got a beautiful clutch last year, but no one looked like dad. So let's give it another shot! One can never have enough pied...right?

Not sure if she's going to lay soon, she has always been a hard read and I've never seen an obvious ovulation on her. But she's always on the warm side now and she's all coiled like she does before laying.

I'm just hoping this means my male will start eating more. He is *so* finicky and it gets so much worse in the breeding season (even if I don't pair him). In the past three months he's eaten once. He doesn't look thin, but he's not as heavy as I'd like him to be.

Good luck with this - it was an interesting project to follow last time, fingers crossed for the elusive pixel pied....

I know he's thrown them in the past. So here's hoping he can again!

Best of luck, I really like the pixelated look and I second that it was interesting to follow the last go around.
