GTP on the Floor??!

Hi,
I have a Cyclops mt. locale GTP, and has been doing great, but yesterday i noticed it was on the ground floor of its enclosure, i'm not sure why. i just need to know if this is anything i should worry about. it is feeding well, and just shed 2 days ago. it is 8 months old. any info would be appreciated.

Thanks
-Greg

Is it still on the floor? When was the last time it ate?

How long have you had it? What are the temps and what is the humidity level? Could you go into a little more detail about your setup and routine?

I have it in an exo terra, with the hot spot getting to 85 degrees, and temps in the lower part of the enclosure range from 75-80 degrees. i spray the tank regularly but i do leave time for it to dry out.(around 50% humidity when dry). this morning i placed the snake near its perch and it coiled around like normal, but then later on when i returned home i found it on the floor again.

Right now, I think the first thing to do would be to contact the seller, and let them know right away that you have concerns.

okay, i got it from Bay Area Reptiles at repticon, is it strange though in your opinion that it would be on the floor?

Yes, to me it does seem strange. I would be concerned, just as you are. Until you hear back from them, I would just provide plenty of branches and spots to wrap around, maybe some fake foliage to hide behind if you don't have any. I wouldn't stress the snake out with handling or anything of the sort at all, until you know for sure it's okay.
