While probably infrequent, Ornithodoros Moubata can bring on relapsing fever and other illnesses. Ornithodoros moubata is a soft-bodied tick from africa that can bite and infect both humans and reptiles.

"Ornithodorus moubata
a parasite of mammals, including humans, birds and reptiles. A vector of African swine fever and Q fever and possibly of Borrelia anserina and Aegyptianella pullorum in fowls."
