Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Shows & Events Since these are such a big part of our business, it is appropriate that we discuss them from a business perspective. |

Well, did anyone here actually attend the Clearwater show?
If so, how was it?

Do you think anyone will actually admit how bad it was ?
Especially the "loyal" vendors

I went the other way. I spent my weekend in Hamburg PA. And as usual, it was great. We had a steady crowd of customers, & people were standing in the cold rain waiting to get in. It stayed that way all day.

Glad I didn't go. I've had numerous emails & phone calls from people saying the show really sucked.

Pretty much a bust!!!
I spoke to a buddy who attended the show both days and got a similar report. Most of the folks in the Bradenton / Sarasota area boycotted the show due to Tony's antics the past few months. Apparently the vendor list of 80 plus ended up being more like 45 and the table count of 200 plus strongly resembled a hundred or so. Traffic was moderate Saturday morning and then died out and never recovered There were also a fair amount of "phantom" vendors on the final list that were not in attendance. I also heard that, unless you arrived very early, parking was a major bitch due to the Sun & Fun Festival.
Gee....what a surprise!
Karma does genuinely have a way of working things out on occasion.

I spoke to folks that had to walk 8 blocks on Sat afternoon to get to the show.
There were also many events where people were warned not to bring reptile purchases to other events. Mostly that was the biggest trouble I expected. No where to go with your buys.
With less than his promised "Impressive List Of Vendors" on hand and a non-reptile friendly event so far no one is calling this thing a sucess. There were more tables and buyers at the Fairgrounds show hands down. That should tell you where to put your money in Sept.
I hope this puts an end to the Tampa Show Wars once and for all.
I believe we have a winner by a knock-out.
Take Care,
Gino

Looks like Tony is reaping what he has sown. Too bad for the vendors though. It costs a lot of money to vend a show. You live, you learn.

Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of the show? It's surprising that no one who actually attended has bothered to post in rebuttal.
Somebody must have actually attended.

I think the silence is speaking for them. There are usually two who come in defense of Tony. He must have really pulled a doosy this time.
