Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Another ovulation/breeding/gravid question
I've tried searching other threads but could not find what i was looking for. I am looking at getting a DH Sunglow female that is possibly gravid. I am going to look at her tonight for the first time. It has supposedly been bred by a Jungle het Albino. Upon talking to this person, she said that she had put the male in with the female 2.5 months ago, the females last shed was the day before she put the male in with her. She previously tried putting in the male with the female before 2.5 months ago but the female wasn't interested.
Is it possible for a female to go through ovulation and have POS shed and then bred, or would it be too late?
If she missed the window of opportunity and did go through ovulation and POS shed would the male even be interested in her?
Thanks for any input

Once a female is gravid, it's my experience that a male will no longer be interested. A lot of people mistake a pre-ov swell for an ovulation.

probably not. And just because a male shows interest and courts and you see some swelling does not always mean the female becomes gravid. There needs to be a pre-ov swell usually brought on by courting, followed by the actualy ovulation anywhere from 1 week to 2 months later, then actual copulation, then the POS.
my $0.02.

Thanks, there's a lot of information that i haven't gotten from this girl. What i'm thinking is, she introduced the male and it started the female to pre-ov, she took the male out and the female ovulated, and had a post ovulation shed and then put the male in with her after her shed and has been with the female for 2.5 months now. She's listed it for sale as gravid, but the info i have gotten through text is sketchy. I could be wrong on this, but i have not seen the snake yet. I would hate to pass up a DH Sunglow female X Jungle het Albino clutch also though. Apparently she has no minutes on her phone to talk to me, but she is able to text? Thanks again April, i appreciate your $0.02.

I totally understand cause sunglow jungles sounds pretty sweet, at the same time, the entire thing sounds sketchy (to me) so I wish you luck and hope she's telling you the truth...
If the male was removed right after the pre-ov swell, unless she retained sperm, there's a good change for slugs as the actual courtship to fertalize the ova happens between the pre-ov and the actual ovulation (I think I misspoke in my earlier post).
lots of good info at this link (also in "The Boa Constritor Manual" book)

If you do get the female, I hope you post pics!
I have a female that was courted for about 3-4 months earlier this year, I could have sworn I saw pre-ov and copulation later, but I'm still scratching my head on her, not really sure if she's going to have anything. She's due next week so I guess I'll find out. Boas always like to throw curve-balls at us!
Good luck!

Once actual ovulation happens, the ovum can no longer be fertilized. Ovulation and fertilization happen together.
