Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Pain!!!!
What would cause the above mentioned subject? KIDNEY STONES. I could think of many more things I'd rather experience than sharp crystallized oxalates passing through my urinary tract.

K-stones are dreadfully painful and will bring anyone to their knees. The best describtion I've heard: it is like passing sandspurs. Makes me shudder to think about it.
Not too sure-what exactely causes them?

Just hope the jagged little rocks pass!
My husband started having pain we thought could be a kidney stone well over a year ago. Went to the Dr~ they did a scan~ Nope~ No kidney stones there. Go home.
Every couple of weeks my husband would get this pain and just be MISERABLE for hours and hours~ but then it would go away. Last May my husband kept me up all night long in horrible pain ENOUGH. I took him the to ER. THEY did a scan~ Kidney stone~ right there~ BIGGEST ONE THEY HAD EVER SEEN! It was so large it had completely blocked his kidney and his kidney was swelling!
Several hours later~ surgery (in which they went IN the most convenient access point to his Kidney that was already available!~ he was NOT a happy camper!) I'm in the waiting room waiting for him to wake up~ and I overhear the surgeon telling another family about my husbands stone. He is now the Dr's new horror story for "it could be worse~ I once had a guy with a stone almost the size of my thumb!"
Good luck~ I Know it hurts. Try not to torture the rest of your family too much or they will be tempted to put you out of their misery!

I've unfortuately had them a number of times (I believe this is the 12th time if my memory is correct). Last night I passed a small one but the pain has gotten worse since then which tells me that chances are the one I passed was either a smaller one or only part of the one which is still cutting it's was through my system. All I know is it hurts like hell and I can't stay still for any prolonged period of time. It doesn't seem to hurt as much when I am walking but that has made for a long past 24 hours. Back to it I guess: walk, drink, pee...

David I'm so sorry you are hurting. When this one is over, talk to you specialist about diet and about medication or procedures to break up the stone before it travels.
I hate it that you have to hurt like that

I did that the last time I had them and even had them analyzed to find out what was causing them and what things to avoid so this wouldn't happen again. It's been a few years since I had them last and had hoped this was a thing of the past, but reality has reared it's ugly head.

Sorry to hear about your kidney stones I've had them twice, can't imagine 12 times !!! As a woman who has also had a baby (and not an easy labor either), I must admit, it is pretty much a toss up as to which is more painful. I was told that mine were calcium based and that I could expect to have them off & on my whole life . . . that was when I had my first one at 17 yrs old. Had the second one at 27 yrs old, but it's now been 15 yrs <knock on wood> and so far so good. Of course, I'll always get a little jumpy everytime I get a strange little pain in the back on one side LOL Hope you pass this one really soon !!!

I do suggest passing on trying the experience of Salmonella Poisoning with an Anxiety attack.
My father gets stones on a regular basis, that is something I have no desire to experience. Good luck and keep drinking that water.
