Bigest problem with House Snakes is that many people tread them as one specie... to complicate things even more some species are are so compatible that Albino/amelanistic gene is transferable to hybrids.
in US most popular specie of house Snakes are dotted and cape... with are similar in appearance and hybridize easly... little less popular are stripe house snake .. west olives (with is a black morph of common brown snake) and auroras... If You gonna be really lucky you can find Namibian house snake but that very rare find on US soil...
Dotted coming in 3 color phases: Red, Grey, and Brown...
Albino morph is recognized in dotted specie
Cape house snakes have a biggest known amount of morphs
Normal
Zululand
Striped
T- Albino (red eye true Albino)
T+ Albino (Amelanistic)
T- Snow
T+ Snow
Patternless
Hypo
Blue Phase
Brick red Phase (Erythristic)
Green Phase (Ilumo)
Common brown house snake B. fuliginosis coming in 3 color phases as well
Brown
Black (Purple)
and Orange (Peach)
Unfortunately most people selling House Snake sell them as "house snake" don't care if they label them right or if they sell pure animals or hybrid...
On the contrary there are few breeders working with pure lines...
there is a link to House Snake forum where You can see pictures of various morphs and species.
Hope that will help
