Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

I am confused
HGW.
Hidden gene woma.
Ok what does it mean? I am totally ignorant to this meaning. Can someone explain this to me at a fifth grade level? [That is why I never got into this type of animal.]
I hear people say that this animal can and does show that it has this trait. If you can look at an animal and KNOW it has the hidden gene then why is it called hidden?
If you look at any heterozygous animal such as albino, axanthic, or pieds they all look normal yet they all carry the "hidden gene" for the visual morph. If you breed heterozygous animal to a heterozygous animal you will get out of four eggs one visual morph and three sixty six percent heterozygous. [two heterozygous and one normal. We can not tell what one carries the gene for the above morph.]
So back to my question is what does a normal woma look like and what does a hidden gene woma look like? Pictures please.

The hidden gene woma is a single mutation snake...just like the normal woma. Separate and different, but similar.
There was confusion when the woma and hidden gene woma first came about since they looked similar, hence the odd name. It was thought they had a hidden gene, then later understood as basically being co dom. It creates crazy animals, but a normal from a hidden gene woma is still a normal, it will not carry some random hidden genetic trait
But at this point, its kinda like Het Reds...everyone knows they are co dom, not recessive. They just got named funny.

Ok so now I ask what is the difference. Is it obvious?
BTW a pastel is a heterozygous animal. It has a super form.

The HGW super is a lethal combo called the Pearl...bad news! It has serious issues and must be culled.
The difference to me is the "hidden gene". Like Willow said, it isn't necessarily hidden, but that's how I think about it to keep it simple in my head. A normal woma bred to a Lesser will make you Lesser Woma's. Cool snake and everything, but still an average combo, IMO. When you breed a HGW to a Lesser you get a Soul Sucker. <----That is the difference.
I can't post pics now but if someone could post a Lesser Woma, compared to a Soul Sucker, you will see.
I believe Kevin called it a Hidden gene Woma because of the fact it looks very similar to a Woma, yet once added to other gene's it is clear it's on a whole other level.
Hope this helps a bit.
Pictures will be your best bet.
