Kaa needs a wife
White lipped help needed

My wife bought herself a white lipped tree frog the other week. He started out as a very bright green and recently has been turning more like a dark green then almost brown and today he is a very blue gray color. Any idea what is going on with him? Any help would be appreciated as I know liittle to nothing about amphibians..............yet that is.

Around my area it's very hard to acquire White Lipps, another perk of loving amphibs and living in the US. Most care sheets say care is similar to Whites Treefrogs except not so cold tollerant and a higher relative humidity. I'd say highs of up to 32c and nightime drops to about 20, humidity should be about atleast 50% and more like 60-70%. I'd aquire some Temp guages and Hygrometers (humidex) to help keep an eye on these. Fluorescent lighting helps with keeping your white-Lipps a bright grass green I've read. Provide some perches and ample room for them to move/hunt around. A good Calcium/Multivitamin dusting every week atleast. Rep-Cal makes a great Calcium and Multivitamin dust if your looking for a good brand.

Good Luck, Red-Eye
