Name:Lepidodactylus lugubris. Commonly called the mourning gecko or smooth scaled gecko. This is the form found on the Hawaiian islands, where it is an introduced species that has been firmly established for decades. These individuals have pronounced markings near their forelimbs and hindlimbs. Our high expression Hawaiian mourning geckos have these pronounced markings across their entire back.

Color/Pattern: Virtually all Hawaiian mourning geckos are lighter, with a more contrasting pattern, than typical mourning geckos. This variety has pronounced markings near their hind, fore, or both limbs. To many keepers, this makes them much more desirable. Our high expression mourning geckos have these pronounced markings down their entire back.

Size:
Adult Hawaiian mourning geckos get up to about 4" in length. When they hatch, Lepidodactylus lugubris measures about 1". The juvenile Hawaiian Mourning Geckos sold by Josh's Frogs measure 1.5-2" when shipped.

Age:
Lepidodactylus lugubris is capable of living over 10 years in captivity, with reports of 15 years or more in the literature. All Hawaiian Mourning Geckos for sale at Josh's Frogs are well started juveniles, and are 2-3 months old.

Shipping for any number of frogs is just $39.99. Frogs are shipped via FedEx Priority Overnight and are delivered by 12:00 pm to most locations, Tuesday through Friday. Josh's Frogs does not ship frogs internationally. Scheduling of frog order is dependent on your availability and weather.

Can? Or should be?

This is an adult gecko or nearly so, by the way. Hatchlings (which typically hatch out in the viv, as mourning geckos glue their eggs down and so they can't typically be pulled for incubation) are, much, much smaller.
