Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

I hold my snakes during breeding season quite often, not for long periods.
My snakes are in my room also and I do not do anything with the light, it doesn't effect them one way or another.
Last year I bred in a spare bathroom with no light at all except during feeding time and cleaning time, otherwise pitch dark.
I know ppl do it but 32's are just not ideal imo for breeding females in, it works but not ideal.
You'll love 41qt tubs once you get them, I have both sideways racks and long ways and both work well.

I will hold up until they ovulate and then I only move them when necessary. After they lay, I won't hold them for a while because they are either hungry as can be or not eating

I don't bother with cooling. It's an unnecessary, time consuming, annoying step--emphasis on the unnecessary...
I have found with a few picky eaters, the more often I hold them, the better they eat. I'm wondering if there's anything to that. I plan to test the notion further.

I wouldn't say it's time consuming for me. It only takes about a second per probe to turn on the NTD for the Herpstats

What is your start temp during the days and the temp you have your night drop set to Nick?

Off season, I put the hot spot between 90-92 (I use radiant heat panels so the hot spot varies) but the thermostat is set at 90. At the beginning of my season, I drop the thermostat to 89 and then two weeks later I drop it to 88. Then two weeks after that (one month), I drop the hot spot at night to 84. I think for either 10 or 12 hours and I should know this. I do this for about two months. Every year I tweak it a little but I really depend on my logs. My cool side never drops below 80 during breeding season and is about 82 in the off season. I wouldn't say I "cool" them, I just bring the hot spot down at night.

So upon everyone's advice I decided to check on them this morning and this is what I see with my bumblebee x pastel. To me it looks S if his tail is wrapped under hers and they are locked. This would be my first lock witnessed! Opinions?
