Mango, an already special Brazilian cherryhead owned by Carl May, was loaned to me for autumn and winter of 2021 into spring of 2022. Mango is a special lady, as with the right male, she is capable of producing what I have coined as "extreme" Brazilian cherryheads. The short of that means especially enhanced forelimb, head, and neck color coverage. They are above and beyond what I have referred to among cherryhead breeder friends as "classics" (aka typical cherryheads bearing standard features for which the locality is known). Unbeknownst to Carl and I, Mango surprised us by revealing she is also apparently het for hypomelanism. This was completely unanticipated. I have made the decision to hold back any hypos I can that hatch from her eggs this season and perhaps a non-hypo extreme or two, depending on how I feel. In the meantime, her non-hypo offspring are possible hets and I am offering most if not all of them up to interested parties. I also will have a handful or so of 67% het for hypo Brazilian cherryheads that are not from Mango lineage that are less expensive (unless extremes by some kind of fluke).

There is no concrete list, but I am taking what you could call commitments of interest ahead of time by email.

I will show an example of an extreme hypo and an example of a 67% het sibling to it that does NOT have extreme qualities (both are of Mango lineage and have the genetics to produce extremes with the right mates). I may update this ad as pips occur and visible features of the newer pipping hatchlings are capable of being displayed.

All of these are pure Bahia-type Brazilian cherryheads with accurate labeling. If you want hypos of other types, I have two other pure localities available (including two certain males; one of each so far) that are NOT Brazilian in other ads of mine. I do not encourage crossing these even though it can be done.

Feeding on varied soft fruits, wild and grocery store fungi, and pellets. My habit is to not feed these greens, but you can of course do as you see fit. Care is as for any other redfoot/cherryhead. Higher humidity. A water dish and/or soaking for hydration. Forest edge bordering on savanna tortoise lifestyle. That sort of thing.

Shipping and LAG:

I ship via Reptile Express (which utilizes Fed-Ex). If there is adverse weather involved, we will wait for a safer shipping window as warranted. If there is a DOA situation, I expect multiple hi-res photos adequately displaying the condition within an hour of receipt (and I may require the corpse/corpses to be sent back to me; you will be compensated for this if it happens). If there is a discrepancy in description, I expect to be made aware of it within the day it is received (in which case, I will issue you a full refund upon safe return of the animal/animals to me). Animals under 4" scl are not sold as pets. Contiguous 48 only (I actually can ship to HI or AK, but there may be additional costs involved that the buyer would have to cover).

Shipping is running me approximately $65 to $75 most of the time now. Sometimes I save two bucks and sometimes I lose ten over the included number, so $65 to $75 is what I settle at for smaller animals. I suppose I could meet up with someone closer and chop the shipping off, but it would have to be a convenient location for me and I am ONLY chopping the shipping off for a meet-up. The distance you traverse has zero bearing on this cost reduction. Larger animals cost a heap more to ship, so that incorporated cost is steeper.

Payment:

All non-local sale prices have shipping cost, packaging, and any miscellaneous fees/costs built in for buyer convenience except where otherwise indicated (usually for much larger individuals). What you see is what you get. Payment plans are no longer accepted. If only a portion of the total due is sent to me and I have not explicitly agreed to that, I reserve the right to refund you and refuse sale. If an offer is made and I accept it with a time frame involved for payment, a lapse of said time frame without any delivery of payment typically means the agreement has been invalidated (for example, if you say you are going to pay me [amount] on [date] and I agree to that, the deal is basically void if [date] passes and payment has not been sent) unless we both agree to the renegotiation of the payment window and there are no communication deficits.

Sexing:

Unsexed animals, probable sexes, and temp-sexed animals have no associated guarantees as to a specific sex. A probable male/female appears to be so at the time, but has not necessarily reached full maturity, so there is room for error. A TSF or TSM label is subject to the performance of accurate TSD and that is a shift of probability in favor of a particular sex (it often works out, but occasionally does not; such is the chance we all take). A guaranteed sex is, as stated, guaranteed. If an animal of guaranteed sex ends up revealing itself to be not of the purchased and explicitly declared sex (with sufficient evidence sent to me) down the road, it can be returned to me in a healthy state for a full refund (the general practice) or, if you are attached emotionally, we may be able to do a partial refund based on current market prices while you retain the animal.

I prefer sales to trades in almost all cases. Not seeking trades at this time.

These two Mango-lineage babies are spoken for. One trending red and one currently yellow (atypical).

This Mango-lineage baby is also currently available. It was born larger than normal and overall is kind of darker in its black tones.

This interesting non-Mango 67% het is emerging. Something "spicy" is on those forelimbs. Update: This one has now been spoken for as well.

Oh, and surprisingly, while we have generated multiple hypo extremes from Mango this round, none of her 67% het offspring this round happened to be extremes. Luck of the draw.

Another hypo extreme Brazilian cherryhead that is a full sibling to all of the 67% hets shown above except the one in post #5. Not for sale. It will be incorporated into the project.

The last two Mango-lineage babies available this year. All others have been sold off or, if hypo, held back. These are both chunky tots and very sturdy 67% hets. Since Mango has been returned to Carl's colony, any he might provide me with next year would be considered 50% hets due to not having a het male in his colony. Word to the wise for anyone procrastinating yet intent.

The two available 67% het for hypo cherryheads alongside their hypo extreme full sibling (same sire and dam). The hypo is not for sale - it is a holdback. The 67% het siblings are growing quickly.
