I have 2.3 of these south american milksnakes that are growing very quickly and have much better dispositions than a female I had in the 1972 that could bite you 3 times before I could put her back in the cage and a very hard bite at that. I think Ed Miner got this snake from me and never was able to pair her up.
I like these because they get large - 6 ft. + and retain the tri-color pattern throughout their range. The andesiana from higher elevations that used to be grouped with micropholis even retain their tri-color pattern even though they are an altitudnal morph similar to gaegeae that turns black with age.
All are really cool animals but micropholis just have never been available to the private sector until now. :scatter:
