Leo's Reptile World... photo theft...

To whom this may concern,

There is a new site called "Leo's Reptile World" http://www.leosreptileworld.com On this site there are several photos of animals from OUR websites listed for sale with prices or SOLD next to them...

http://www.leosreptileworld.com/_wsn/page5.html Creamsicle Corn Snake & Ball Python Morph photo

http://www.leosreptileworld.com/_wsn/page4.html Leopard Gecko & Austrailian Bark Gecko photo

I have contacted Beth of LeosReptileWorld.com and told her that the photos MUST be removed immediately.

I am not sure if the Jungle Leopard Gecko and the Australian Bark Gecko were actually for sale at some point but their photo captions read "SOLD" If anyone reading this actually bought these animals be warned that these animals are NOT the ones that you purchased!!

We enjoy bringing excellent photography to all of our online visitors but it pains us to see it used for deception or taken without the proper permission and credit.

Thank you all for your time and consideration!

Quickly removed...

Hello everyone,

It seems that my phone call yielded a fast response from Leo'sReptileWorld.com

Please everyone beware of companies that use other company's photos to sell their animals! I can't believe that there are people out there who actually do this to their potential customers.

Thanks again Fauna and users...

Jeff,

The photos that I am refering to have been removed. I took some screenshots of the webpages in question. They are as follows...

After looking over the website in question again, I noticed that there are also OTHER photographs of ours that have been used without permission but this time they don't have prices next to them. The LeosReptileWorld webmaster removed the photos that we complained about but NOT the other photos that have violated our copyrights!

I suggest everyone look over this site THOROUGHLY to be sure that your photos haven't been used without the proper permission!

Thank you,

I'll take the HYPO. Sean, are you price matching these animals?

As a solution, why do breeders and sellers not watermark their images? it would certainly help prevent people from saying their animals are the ones in the pic if it has a semi-transparent name of another breeder listed on it.
