Sorry, I do not have a picture. I did take one last summer when I saw the spider, but I cannot find it. I am interested in an ID because I would like to keep one as a pet.
I first saw it outside my living room window. It had made its web on the back of my AC unit. A couple weeks later it had babies. One of the babies actually made its way inside and made a web in my living room on the inside of my ac unit. It was rather interesting so I let it be (even though my husband wanted it dead, lol). After about two weeks it left and never came back.
Here is what I know:
Location: New Hampshire
Adult Female Size: 1-2 inches (I know it was an adult female because it had babies)
Colors: Black and yellow or black and white. It is NOT argiope aurantia. This is the only black and yellow spider I can find that is native to NH, but the web does not match.
Body Shape: longer than wide, somewhat skinny.
Web Shape: 3 dimensional oblong. Kind of like a giant cocoon. This is the closest picture I could find. If I remember correctly, it was a bit more enclosed than this one this though.
