I tried an ASF on an adult Rosy. Never would go for one, but some of the babies smacked ASF's.. FWIW. Not sure if there'd be long term effects from doing so, I wouldn't make a habit of it for two animals that never meet in the wild..
I cohab my adult Snow Rosy pair right now, all year long. I just gotta be real careful on re-introductions with my giant female DH, after separating for feedings. She has attempted to slam my male Snow many a time mistaking him for a followup food item when replaced in their enclosure. lol, kinda, but not really...
It's scary, but necessary for nice full healthy litters, imo . Some people miss out on nice full litters because male boas do a lot of offspring stimulation with their vestigial remnants/spurs throughout the gestation process.
