Milksnake question

a few years ago I had a beautiful Hondurian that I had to get rid of because my ex did not like snakes. I am looking for another one but read on line that they can bite. I have two children that adore snakes and handle the Ball Python they have very well. Is this a common trate in Milksnakes? I love the Tangerine and really want another one... is there one that ay be a better choice? or a way around it if it does tend to bite?

It's only generally a common thing in hatchling and smaller Hondurans. Most milksnakes as hatchlings are extremely nervous by nature and look at a human as a threatening MONSTER to it's very life. I do NOT recommend young Hondurans, or other younger milksnakes for being around younger kids much to be honest without extremely close supervision as they are VERY flighty and spook at the drop of a hat quite often and will want to bolt out of their hands onto the floor and be lost, etc... However if you get an older subadult or adult they will be far calmer and manageable for you and the kids as a general rule. Please trust me on this, I have been breeding these and all sorts of other snakes for many, many years now.
