This species of leaf chameleon is probably one of the hardiest availble. These small chams only reach a maximum length of 2-3 inches. In my experience, the females generally lay 5-6 clutches of eggs a year with 3-8 eggs/clutch. The babies hatch out after 65 days at room temperature. This species is the perfect candidate for someone looking for an interesting, cheap and satisfying breeding project. a group of 2.4 can live happily in a well planted 10 gallon vivarium with a screen lid.
These guys work great for offices and school classrooms as well for a visual display.
they feed primarily on pinhead crickets, and fruitflies.
