Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Ah who's being the wiseass?
Dang when did this become a name calling event? Holy cow! I guess people can't even disagree on something anymore.
And basic rules for leopard gecko morphs a far from set!!! Everyones got an opinion and we all know what opinions are like!
In case you don't know the saying, its the eqivalent of a vent only on a human! Apparently some are wise and some are not! Any whoooo! Morphs are NOT set. Heck we don't even know if stripes and jungles are simple recessives or not! Still don't know if we can make a Bell blazing leo or Bell PA, RainBell, and a few others! Anyway didn't mean to ruffle your feathers there Greg. I don't know you nor would ever result to name calling. Let just say we agree to disagree.
oh and for your ?

Please
Can we stop the ugliness here? I mean what exactly is the point?
Here is what it boils down to:
Carrot Tail refers to a specific bloodline developed by Ray Hine. I am of the opinion that any leo from that line that is a hypo and has some carrotting on the tail (whether it is 5% or 100%) can be called a "carrot tail" or some version of, ie. "super hypo carrot tail", "hypo carrot tail", "hypo carrot tail cross", etc.
Any geckos that have no Ray HIne blood in them that have orange on the tails should not really be referred to as "carrot tail". Jeanne, your gecko does not appear to have any Ray Hine influence in it, I say it is not a true "carrot tail".
As far as carrot tails having to have at least 20% of carrotting on their tails, who came up with that rule? Some of the very first hypo carrot tails I had, which were pure Ray Hine line hypo carrot tails had less than 20% carrotting so I am not sure who came up with that requirement.
Here are some pics of my very first hypo carrot tails

one more, the male. Those three animals were the founding breeders in my hypo carrot tail project. It's amazing how different they look now, just a few years later isn't it.

Yeah, back then they were just unbelievable, I was so happy to have those animals. That first season I bred that male to at least 40 female tangerines and hypo tangerines, and to the other 2 female hypo carrot tails.

So those the ones that started your "Cheeto" line? It's amazing to think of how far these guys have come! Hard to imagine at some points.

Thank you Kelli for answering my question. How can you tell if a Leo has Ray Hines blood in it?
Thanks!
