Rushing it to the market saying its genetic, charging a premium, and not knowing how its genetic.... that's just greedy when it takes so little time in comparison to other species to prove out the genetics of a leopard gecko.

One thing's for sure, whoever ends up buying these geckos will be in for a surprise.............. Now, if that surprise is good or bad......... I just don't know

What's the surprise? The condition they're in? The genetics? The number of bounced checks you'll write after having paid for them?

I personally think it is recessive, but since Tremper just produced this trait for the first time this year is has yet to do any outcrossing to see how the trait is passed onto it's offspring. It is certainly genetic, that's without a doubt. He has produced this trait in a good number of geckos from the same lineage. I personally think your bias against Tremper is clouding your better judgment on this matter. He never claimed to know how it was genetic, and it seems to me he is reserving that claim until he knows for sure. I am thrilled to see a red-eyed albino enter the market place, what more could you ask for? As for being greedy, please....this man has to make an honest living running a risky business. Any money he makes off this or any projects is well deserved. I am done with this pissing contest.

WHAT??? You've got to be kidding me!
Let me guess, $1200 for a Sunglow isn't too much? How about $1200 for a giant hyglow?
Huh, suddenly the price of $1000 for a RAPTOR or $750 for an APTOR doesn't seem so bad!

Justyn.. you know I love ya,.. but it's not a pissing contest, it's a discussion. That's why we love Fauna so much, we can have these open discussions here. Tremper puts his stuff out there on the market, he makes certain claims. That makes it an open topic for discussion. Same goes for you or me or whoever. The difference is I would be here discussing these things WITH people. And I bet so would you. I know that we are not as busy as Ron so I can understand his absence.

I think most halfway intelligent people realize the impact that Ron Tremper has made on herpetoculture. Myself, I respect him very much for many of the things he has done in a positive way for our hobby. That doesn't mean I will not question something that I do not agree with. I put no one up on a pedestel. Well, I take that back, I put no one in the reptile business up on a pedestel. No one is above questioning or discussion, Tremper, me, Bob Clark, NERD (those are just some examples off the top of my head).

I can't think of anything else to say on the matter, really.
