Any ads of weekly feeding of boas?
I see lots of breeders still only feeding mice to 1 y/o boas and wonder why. Most of my reading and learning said boas hit 3’ at year one. All my babies do reach that on weekly feeding of appropriate sized rats. I don’t use mice often. Occasionally a new born won’t take a day old pinky rat and I’ll get live mice for a few feedings.
I’ve always fed weekly. Even my lg adults get a lg rat weekly. I never had a fat boa except a coral female that was 8’+ by 3 years old when I bought her. She was round bodied unlike my 7’ females. Both pictured.
Are my boas gonna die at an early age if feed weekly on a lg rat? I’ve always taken them outside to exercise at min of once a week. I’d hate to have a boa die because she/him was fed too much.
Any links about feeding and life length?
I bought a baby this year that was tiny for his age. But with regular feeding, he’s now getting a little size. He’s a whooping 26” at over a year old.
Thanks
