It's finally starting~ eggs!

Finally my turn to do the happy dance! First two clutches of eggs this weekend! Unfortunately the pics I took of mom on the eggs did not come out~ so I snapped a couple pics of just the eggs~
These eight were laid by a normal female (her name is Lips) by a het pied male (named Larry). Lips is a LTC with the "het pied markers"

but I'm not expecting anything more than 50% hets out of these eggs~ still exciting though!

Next clutch is a Fem27 (name Selena) by my Pastel Male (named Pumpkin) I'm excited about this clutch~ Selena is a normal LTC reduced pattern with a clear unmarked belly and lots of flaming~

if I get any nice males with her markings in the clutch I'll hold one back for a little incest test in a couple years!

Congrats! I'm hoping for two of mine to drop eggs the end of this month or early May... which is earlier than last year. How many clutches are you expecting this season?

I don't even know how many to expect. I have 20 more females in the breeding racks~ but several of them don't look like they are "going" this year to me. I pulled the males and stopped breeding a little early this year because of our planned move~ Hoping to cut down the number of females dropping clutches later in the season. I figure maybe another 10 or so females will actually go this year. A couple more by the end of the month I think (Hydra and fem1 look about to pop!) We shall see!
