... a decent snake hook and a bigger pair of feeding tongs. I got a 4ish foot cbb female garden phase atb a couple weeks ago and I hate feeding her with my puny little 10" tongs. The guy who I got her from said she was tame as any ball python and indeed she was... Until I got her home and let her settle in for a few days. Now the amazon attitude comes out. She has nailed me a few times as well a guy a work with. Doesn't really hurt yet, but yikes! I can't change her water without her snapping at me. Gotta love that attitude! Makes for a little extra fun.
She was a little skinny when I first got her as you can tell, but she has never refused a meal in my care and has already put on a little weight. Look at those eyes! Can't tell in the pic but they are an absolutely striking yellow/green.
Terrarium I built for her. It is 21"w x 21"d x 35"h inside and approximately 5ft tall with stand. Nothing fancy, just 1x2 framing, plexiglas on all sides and a screen top for ventilation. Haven't had any problems with keeping the humidity up and the thermal gradient is darn near perfect.
