Coming into his own

This little guy was a tough starter - at first, he didn't want to eat anything; then, he would eat live...when he felt like it (unfortunately, this did not always coincide with when I could get it); he finally started eating regularly, is now on f/t, and is coloring up to be the looker I knew he would be.
I'm kind of surprised I took the patient approach with him, and waited him out...I must be turning soft in my old age

Aw MAN what a pretty boy he is too! Y'know they dont make up those sayings for no reason!

.......you aint turning soft. just smarter. got him on ft way to go. to much risk factor feeding live. not only injuries but the parasite factor. there is no good reason to feed live....congrats.

There is a very good reason to feed live...when the snake in question won't eat anything else.
As for smarter - probably not. I think a more accurate statement would be that I was just pulled in too many directions, and didn't feel like assist/force feeding. Too many knots to untie, lol.
