As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

the lifespan of leos
Lately there have been a lot of "leo colony for sale" ads. I know life has unexpected twists and turns, which means a lot of these people have no choice but to give up leos but it looks like some just got tired of keeping so many leos. So I wanted to ask, assuming you continuously have the resources, how many of you here actually intend to keep your leos for the entirety of their lives?

I bought a male 5 years ago, in 1999. I will never sell this leo, and he will be with me until he dies. I am sure a lot of breeders have leos that they will never sell.

I know a man that bought his male leo as an adult WC animals in 1978! It just passed away last year, 20 plus years is a norm I think.

If you look at some of these ads where they are selling all of their animals, with the exception of a few holdbacks. These holdbacks are the ones we'll never let go of =).
