    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey Rich -- I haven't been getting any kind of notifications (new PM, new new replies, subscribed threads, etc), even though I have them turned on to instant e-mail notification. Is this happening to everyone or just me?
 
Probably everyone............

It's been 43 days since this server was started up, so maybe it's time for a reboot....
 
Now that is strange because I have the default notification setting to no email notifications and lately I HAVE been getting them.
 
The only thing I can recall doing recently concerning email is that I removed my own contact email address from the admin section. The spammers have gotten real cute and are using the Contact Us link on vbulletin sites to send their garbage to the site admins that way. So I decided to just turn that faucet off. Not sure how this would affect email notifications to everyone else, however. I guess I could turn it back on to test it.... :shrug01:
 
OK, I put me email address back in there. Let me know if it makes a difference....
 
Yeah, and I'm getting the damned spam mails as well. Guess I need to set up a special trashcan email address for this.

But at least the notices are working again....

Problem with that is then no one can reach you through the "Contact Us" page. :shrug01:

I doubt this will make much difference, as because of the ton of spam coming through that way, I stopped reading those emails anyway. :shrug01:
