    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

sorry about my 2 different post i have a brother named justin who used my account however im the one that posted on darkforest reptiles an nick nistico i have tried contacting nick by phone an by email he ignores my emails an phone calls as well this is no jok i bought a crocodile monitor from him that he basically lied about having an never sent me he then advertsied this same animal 2 weeks later for sale on kingsnake.com monitor classifieds thats pretty much the story

It'd be nice if you used some capitalization, punctuation, good grammar, etc. Your run on post makes it tedious to read.

When did AND become AN? It makes you sound like a freakin 1st grader or is it Ebonics that I just am not familiar with?

I understood it just fine Gina. And I'm sure the majority of intelligent folks here understood what he wrote just fine also. This isn't a summer school english class. If you have any advice for the fella that can help him get his money back or his animal shipped to him please offer it up and put your two cents in.
 
I do not think the point is to post like you are in...

English class, but to be taken seriously, on a public forum...at least try to post at a 5th grade reading level.

I don't validate a persons complaint of being scammed by how serious they are about spelling and punctuation. Some of the smartest folks I've ever met communicate most effectively orally.

Being sooo smart as you are , I just don't understand why you cant decipher what he is trying to communicate in his post. Gina as well.
 
I believe Bill's point is to maybe do it in a PM or email. Or maybe to combine it in a post along with other stuff.

Stop while have the chance Davey. All you did was point out to the guy just how illiterate he is. Thats all you did and all you continue to do. You compared his writing to a 1st grader. Thats all you did. You did not ask him to post specifics of his claim to assist him in any way shape or form. You did not ask him to clarify what you may not have understood. What you did, being sooooo smart, was to criticize his writing even though we all know you completely understood what he was writing.

The guy already feels like a chump being scammed and out his money and his animal, and you want to make him feel like a complete and total moron. Youre a swell guy Davey!!! Why dont you go kick his dog and set fire to his house?

IF YOU COME ON A PUBLIC FORUM, AND WANT PEOPLE TO TAKE YOUR SIDE IN A SITUATION, IT IS HARD TO TAKE SOMEONE SERIOUSLY WHO WRITES LIKE THE ORIGINAL POSTER. MAYBE they can do better, maybe they can't. Hopefully, their next post is a bit easier to read than a 50 word run on sentence. And like I said, what is the deal with AN, instead of AND? Is it something new, is it a new way the younger generation is speaking, is it Ebonics..I am just asking the question?

I would not likely have commented on it unless I had something else to say to the OP (and I would have done it in a more respectful manner the first time), but honestly, if my youngest child, who is now entering the seventh grade, wrote something like that in a place where she expected adults to read it I would have her enrolled in remedial writing classes immediately. When I, and I speak only for myself, see a post like that I think that the poster either is really too intellectually challenged to understand what actually happened, or that he is disrespecting his audience with his "writing" style. If it's the former then what he really needs is someone to handle his money (a payee of sorts) and if it's the latter, as I suspect, I am not all that inclined to go too far out of my way to pull teeth to find out what really happened. Again, that's just me and my opinion, and we all know that they say about opinions...
 
I would have to agree with Jim on the part about asking for more information after reading his posts.However I was able to understand what Jason was trying to communicate. Perhaps someone could have sent a pm to jason about his posts. The fact remains the gut got scammed to the tune of 525.00
 
13 post and no real info other than some commenting on Jason's use of the the written English language.

Jason as Alan mentioned you need to put some flesh on the bone here IE More info on your deal. Give the folks here something to work with and you might get some results. Also there is a spell check button down below and proof reading before you post is a good idea for most of us here..Randy

They guy is posting about a problem he has with a seller. I had no problem understanding his problem in the way he wrote it. I'm not his mother or father or teacher. That he seems to have a problem communicating in written form doesnt qualify him to me as a complete moron and nor should it deny him the patience and assistance of this community. In his four posts he has been met with warning points for not understanding the rules and later criticized for explaining his situation to what may be the very best of his ability. That sucks. One of you is a moderator and the other a five year seasoned vet of fauna. If thats the best assistance you both can offer this guy then I say it sucks. I know it can get annoying, I get annoyed really fast in case my warning points havent refelcted that. But to put this guy down before anyone even asks this guy to clarify himself and the situation he's found himself in just plain out sucks!!!

And just how the hell can we conclude that this guy is intentionally disrespecting fauna rules and its moderators and members? How? The guy has only posted four friggin times in which he's been met with warnings. Any moderator willing to show me a PM to this guy in which they have offered him assistance or a link to the rules in a genuine show of patience and understanding and respect for him being so new?

Are you really asking if he's african american? Is that what you seem to decipher from his post? He has a problem, he has communicated that problem in what I can accept as to the best of his ability. If you cant Dave then take a long walk on a short pier and leave the guy to those willing to help him out. And I'm not asking that as a question brutha, I'm making it a statement. Drop the keyboard and take a walk.


Maybe this guy doesn't even want assistance and is simply trying to warn YOU so YOU don't get scammed down the road. Nice way to greet a guy Dave!
 
I know plenty of people who are very smart and don't use proper grammar or punctuation. most of them are not from the USA, but some are. i know one guy that is sick, he has schizophrenia. i do not believe that he has ever used punctuation, and he writes for a living! people edit it for him and publish it. i think it is sad when people need to put others down to make them feel better. you need some help.

Ebonics is actually a class, or going to be a class in the Riverside school system. I honestly do not know if there is a color of skin requirement, and honestly do not care.

I asked a question about the AN and AND deal, simple question. I see several people writing it that way on Fauna, and want to know if it is just someone being lazy, a new texting deal, or what? You are the one trying to put words in people's mouths.

I said the poster writes like a 1st grader, or maybe they are just lazy. I still have not heard which it is, 4 or 5 pages later.
