Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

An Indiana man was arrested for trafficking a box of poisonous rattlesnakes on a bus.

Dustin A. Draper of Muncie, Indiana picked up a box of venomous baby timber rattlesnakes at a post office and transported them on a city bus to his apartment.

Postal inspectors notified authorities about the shipment, and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and the county police arrested Draper at his home. He was jailed under charges of "possession of an endangered species and transportation of a dangerous reptile without a permit," reported The Associated Press.

This is not the first "snake charge" for Draper. He was convicted a year ago for attempting to sell an eastern diamondback rattlesnake. He also faces charges from this past August for the possession of a cobra.

I'd REALLY like to know who MAILED him that box of baby rattlers!! I'd assume that since the postal inspectors notified the police, they know where it was coming from as well....I hope they get nailed too.

As much stupidity as I see in this world, it still amazes me that anyone would be stupid enough to ship a boxload of hots through the USPS.

Yes, I agree. Furthermore, it would be interesting to know how they found out thata were rattlers in the box. Was the sound that give them away? It's hard to believe that they would have written "fragile live rattlers" on the box. :rolleyes:

It is sad but people have been known to tape the rattles so they can not make a sound.

I have a recue Buzztail here that had all buttons removed from an idiot that did this. He used electrical tape. The snake was brought to me after the snake had the tape removed.

Just sad..............................
 
This is a true story, I went once into a store in San Antonio and they had a closed box where it said "open the lid with caution baby rattlers inside". The curiosity got the best of me and I carefully opened the lid. Sure enough among some dried leaves and bark in the bottom there they were: three plastic baby rattlers, those nearly any baby has used to amuse hymself! :)

As postal employees I don't think they could have done anything about it. I'm pretty sure it even took days for the police to get a court order to be able to search his place and look for the animals.
