Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I had contacted Steve back in July via an ad he had through a google search for sunburst chameleons. He sent me a picture of what he stated verbatim was to be "the exact chameleon" we would receive.
I purchased him for $150 which including shipping from Florida to Kansas and he came and was from first appearance not the chameleon we ordered, though understanding he was stressed from the trip. I called him and he advised we not bother him for at least a week and his colors would come in.
I gave it 3-4 weeks and he still had not got his color in.
I called him again and he wanted a picture of the enclosure and him and he said he would get back to us.
I have left several messages and he will now not return my phone calls.
He knew all along he did not send the chameleon that was in the picture and he is a terrible representation of the reptile world.
I feel so taken and I vow to find him and make his selling days over in the state of Kansas. I have contacted the proper authorities.
He shipped the chameleon under the name Karin Lieber.
 
He never sent me a cham at all! Said he mislabeled the package or something and that it got shipped back to him deceased. He then said that he was sending us another one, and about 2 years later im still waiting for it to arrive. Tried multiple times to contact him afterwards to no avail after he realized we figured out his scam. He was operating out of FL at the time if im not mistaken. I was also going to receive "the exact one in the pic he sent me."
 
WOW, Im a dealer in Pa. and purchased a bunch of babies from him. I lost alot of them within the first couple days which sometimes happens but worse than that I sold a bunch showing a pic he sent of what he said was the parents, now im really wondering, if it was bs than it could look bad for me to my customers, I try to be as honest as i possibly can and even though I didnt claim to breed them, I hope they are what I was told.
 
Yes, I know the hard sale, the pic we saw of the parents are not anything what he looked like and I took him to a reptile specialist and he is a Panther Chameleon not a sunburst.
All I can say is watch out, you do not want the reputation he has and you being a dealer will uphold his reputation because of his misrepresentation.
 
Susan, a Panther chameleon is totally different animal than a Veiled chameleon .. the term "sunburst" is generally used to describe a brighter yellow coloration in a Veiled. (Maybe you know all that already; my apologies if you do).

Are you saying you ordered/purchased a "sunburst" Veiled and they sent you a Panther?
 
That is what I am saying, and yes, I do know the term "sunburst" and that is the coloration I was to receive with Turquoise Stripes Vertical down the side.
