In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have been slowly raising two male Fiji Boas (Candoia bibroni bibroni) from hatchlings, they are now 4 years old, just over 1m long and weigh about 225 gms. Today my breeding loan arrived; A HUGE proven female over 2 m long, don't know what she weighs yet, but it has to be 4 times my poor boys.

All the experienced Candoia breeders say this can work, but it's hard to imagine.
They've either in for the time of their their lives or a totally traumatic experience.

So, tomorrow they go together and we wait with baited breath.

Here they are: wish us all luck!

Two of big grey Thomasina, and one each of my smaller brown/red males (Magenta and Rifraf)

They are beautiful! Good luck breeding them, I hope it works out.

I just got a Waigeo Island Tree Boa and I have fell head over heels for Candoia they are such interesting snakes.

Yeh, I love my group. It's a shame they are so uncommon around the place, I've got very few people to talk to!

Mine eat geckos, but many people manage to get them onto pinkies and then mice. Here in Fiji they take Mynah Birds, rats, Mongoose (and Fruit Bats in the wild). I have a half grown duckling in the freezer for when Thomasina gets peckish.

Good luck with your Waigeo; why not post some pictures?

What a big beautiful girl Helen! The more I see photo's of Candoia, the more I consider getting into them in the near future. Best of luck!!

Thanks! Just weighed her: she's 1500 gms, the males are 225 gms each. Hope she consents!

I totally recommend Candoia: they have a bad rep for being picky feeders, but many people manage OK, especially if you have a supply of frogs or geckos for scenting food.

The sex size disparity is something else though.....

Thanks! Fiji has lots of different islands and we are seeing pattern differences between them. I'm going to start building up a photo library and will post if there's interest.

Ideally I'd like to start looking at crosses between Fiji islands. but first I have to get this one working!

Snake porn!

So I was really afraid to add my small males to this giant female, but within 5 minutes they were both on her and after 30 minutes tails were twirling and the mission was at least underway if not accomplished. :hurray::hurray::hurray:

Now I just have to wait and see..., here are snake porn pics!

I just posted a few pictures of my girl.

Congrats on your guys hooking up!

Thrresome in the pool!

Thought you might like the latest kinky pics: Two guys on top of each other with much larger girl in the pool! :D

If you look closely (spare our blushes) you can see that one of the males has linked up with the female on the floor, but the poor little second guy only seems to be able to make it with the tree branch.....

Going now to check on progress - but only after I check out the Waigeo pics.

Update on Fiji breeding

I've been off traveling for a month, so Thomasina, the big female, had to go home in November. She didn't obviously ovulate while she was with me, but I've only seen photographs, and she was a bit bite-y for regular examinations. She did put on weight while I had her, but she was eating every weekend, so it could have been either impending motherhood or sheer greed.....:shrug01:

I got back into Fiji just in time for a direct hit by Cyclone Mick, so I've been a bit distracted (cleaning up broken trees and getting the emergency generator running) and haven't been in touch with her owner to see if she's swelling up or not. I still have hopes, but no info.

Thanks for the interest, I'll post when I know!
