In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi there,

Due to some irresponsible shippers, UPS has directed our customers to temporarily stop shipping snakes with ShipYourReptiles.com.

We are working hard to reinstate safe snake shipping for our customers and the entire reptile community.

Other types of UPS-approved non-venomous reptiles — including geckos, lizards and turtles — may be shipped with ShipYourReptiles.com.

To make your shipments easy, we recommend you drop off your packages at a Staples or Office Depot shipping counter.

We will keep you updated on this matter.

Thanks for your patience and support,

-- Robyn and the ShipYourReptiles.com team

Ugh. That's crap. I got it too and came here to see if there was a discussion brewing yet... See it's in the works :ack2:

SYR is quite a bit cheaper though than going with UPS directly. Just wondering if anyone ever did a price comparison....

This will be fixed.... Speed bump IMO... This is still a testy thing...

How much of a price difference is there from Fed Ex to SYR?
This sucks!

$20-$40 based on my experiences. I love the service. I don't ship routinely, but the handful of times that I have, it was cheaper and the package gets there on time or before. I have had packages delayed and mis-routed by Fedex.

Great, just in time for my shipment going out Monday.....

My question is are they stopping SYR shipments to check the contents, or ...:shrug01:

Like is the SYR account number flagged? So if I send a few geckos out thru SYR is there a chance they are going to pull it, and would this be a possible delay?

That might be a good question to direct to SYR. That would be awful! Can't imagine them doing that, but guess you never know...

I can't help but to wonder if by "irresponsible customer" they are referring to me...Though I was certainly not irresponsible.

Was kind of a coincidence that this happened while waiting for a return call from SYR about my snakes being denied...

I never got fed ex certified, stopped completely when I learned about SYR. Now I have snakes that need to be shipped next weekend and apparently no way to ship them. If anyone knows of a way to get these shipments through to their customers please pm me.

We just got the same e-mail too. This is crazy what are we suppose to do now? I have snakes to ship out and just bought all the shipping materials from SYR. And I know the prices are cheaper through SYR then going right through Fed Ex or UPS. I hope this doesn't take to long to fix!

I doubt it. If he said irresponsible I think he meant irresponsible. Like someone used SYR to ship venomous, or improper packaging that resulted in an escape and some unhappy UPS workers.

I can't believe they are cutting this off right now. No notice. This will put a lot of people in a really bad spot!

Fed Ex will love it!

Fed Ex is loving it!

Fixed it for you:thumbsup:

I'm taking my two boxes down to FedEx in about an hour!

It kinda stinks to have to eat the extra cost.. but its worth it.

This sucks!

I've seen cheaper prices with FedEx vs. UPS. FedEx is more reliable in my opinion too.

I dont pay anymore than the industry standard with fedex... and the express vehicles are usually Vans... and the back is climate controlled. Wouldnt you want this for your animal vs a hot brown truck that doesnt even have AC for the driver? :shrug01:
