    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey everyone......this thread is to warn people about buying from Bobby Pruett of Arboreals, Etc..........I have not done business with him personally but I have seen some things that definitely have my mind made up that I will NOT be doing business with him in the future........a while back someone posted some pics (on the Corallus.com forums) of some amleanistic fat tailed geckos that he was selling on Kingsnake.......here is that thread's link:

If you go on to read the rest of the thread, you will see that I called him on the obviously emaciated geckos, and he ignored my inquiries. Well, except that he said that the "fatties were having a bad day" or something to that nature. I personally don't think anyone who cares about their animals or his customers would attempt to propogate sick animals and then try to make up an excuse as to why they are in that condition.

BTW........he is also associated with LBC Reptiles......how much I am not sure.
 
David, I just read that entire thread and can't find any basis for you "warning" us about buying animals from Bobby Pruitt. It kinda seemed to me like you got your feelings hurt because he didn't find you important enough to respond to. :(
 
The pictures of the obviously emaciated fat tail geckos that were in his ad on Kingsnake isn't enough? Or the fact that he brushed it off like 'no big deal' and then proceeded to ignore further questions regarding why he was attempting to sell obviously unhealthy animals? I don't think theres any question why I posted the warning. My feelings got hurt? I could care less even if they were. It upsets me when people try to pull crap like that.....THATs the reason for the warning.
 
I've done lots of business with Bobby over the past 4 years and have always been more than happy with what I got from him. If you personally have a deal go bad with him then post something. It just sounds like you posted it at the request of someone else or maybe out of jealousy, I don't know. I've bought some very expensive animals from Bobby including amazon and emerald tree boas, savu pythons, bolivian amarali and more. Not one of them had a problem. Since I DO have a history of receiving his animals then let me post this positive response.

none of the pictures or links worked for me(except for the one to the corallus messageboard). Did you manage to save the pictures from the ads, or make screen shots of the ads themselves? If so, can you post them here?

I am not trying to play favorites or sides as I know pretty much none of the people involved, but there's not much of a determination to make without seeing the pictures before hand.
 
I did have the pics saved but for whatever reason now they don't work for me either. Oh well, I know I won't be doing business with him.......you all may do as you wish.

...I just read that thread over at corallus.com...seems the opinion is that you are a troll...so, debunk the troll myth instead of just giving out some cyber-hearsay and saying yer thru, or lose any credibility that you may be trying to establish in your outrage over the emaciated fat tails...
 
I too have actually done business with Bobby...
every animal I have gotten from him was as described or better..
Actually, I recently sent him around 2K in animals on his word, something I do for very very few people anymore...

Like Paul, I'm doing a deal with Bobby for a large sum with only his word as colateral. Something I wouldn't do with many people... some people I wouldn't even sell to... hmmmm....

Since your complaint is based not on any particular deal going sour, but on how you don't like the look of animals in a picture that Bobby HIMSELF posted (can a seller be more upfront?), it sounds more like you just don't like him and have an axe to grind.

Perhaps someone who has had a deal go bad will speak up, but so far Bobby is looking like he's got a good rep.

I've known Bobby for years and have dealt with him numerous times and without any problems. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

This awesome Calico Ammy is one of my most recent purchases from him...what a BEAST :)

To inform us all not to deal with him?????? Cuz why?????? Not to pound on you in anyway...but I would like to make a suggestion. A while back in the "other" forums, you developed quite a reputation for calling ABSOLUTELY everybody out on what you perceived as inadequate husbandry, with or without a whole lot of cause. In the process, while ostensibly concerned with the welfare of the animals (a laudable goal), it often seemed that you were seeking to impress others with your skill/knowledge, etc., and as a result, a lot of folks were offended. I would encourage you to continue your acquisition of knowledge, but to be far less zealous, far less pugnacious, and generally, more patient. I know you are young, but hey, so am I, so slow down, and earn respect the old fashioned way or you will earn a reputation as a troll, or most likely, worse.

Back in late March/early April we bought a 10 lot of beardies from Bobby Pruett and everything went smoothly. From the communication to their arrival, there isn't anything negative I would be able to post about the entire transaction.

I have learned that the "after" pics of the geckos that Bobby posted in reply to me on the Corallus thread were actually pics of when he first got the geckos, not more recent pics like he says in his posts, and one of them isn't even the same gecko.....you can tell by the tail-banding.

Is this suffiicient enough for you guys?
 
I will make this one post on this thread. David is a flat out liar and has been put in his place on every other forum on the net. I got the geckos from Ty Young and they were sold to
Jodi Ahern The pics of them dehydrated were taken after a 6hr ride in the van where I didnt know they were getting sun on them(my bad) three days later I took new pics of them. Just a few days after that I sent them along with two leachianus to Jodi. Feel free to contact either person and ask about the fat-tails in question.
 
Bobby, the only person I see stretching the truth is YOU. Those geckos are not merely dehydrated.......they are completely and utterly emaciated due to either a lack of care or sickness that wasn't treated. The fact that you were trying to SELL those animals in the state they were in greatly disturbs me. Stick to arboreals, bobby.

No??? Look at the geckos in the first picture......that is AFTER he recieved them.....meaning their condition deteriorated while he had them. You see nothing wrong with that? Then I feel sorry for you, sir.
