In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I've done a few purchases from Hank as well as a trade. He's always great to work with and very responsive. I can definitely say he's a good guy. I will continue to work with Hank.

Thanks for the link. Sorry Hank had a bad experience with what appeared to be an impatient buyer, but my opinion of him doesn't change. I have had good experiences with him personally on more than one occasion and have no problem recommending him. One bad experience shouldn't brand him a bad guy permanently. It was just that - a bad experience for what seemed like both parties. I'm simply stating that all of my experiences with him were good.

Actually...that's not what you are doing. You are asking us to view your experiences as having more weight than the 5th grade crap that went on in that embarrassment of a thread.

It doesn't work that way.

Your good experience is a piece of how Hank does business. The way he handled the other thread is an even bigger piece. Good transactions are easy. It's how you handle a problem that defines you as a seller. Hank handled that one badly and he will have to go to some pretty extreme lengths to repair that testament to lousy customer service.

Apologies if I implied my experience should carry more weight. I could see by the way I wrote it how you might interpret that. That was not my intent. I post good feedback when I have it to post. You'll see I also posted good guy threads on two other members today. If someone ever searches for Hank on this site, they'll see a good experience and a bad one from a couple buyers. They can decide if they want to do business with him. I've had positive experiences and would recommend him. That's all.

Fair enough Jim

I'm in agreement with John (Suncoast) on this one.
Prospective buyers do like to see positive feedback...no doubt about that. However, the manner in which a seller responds to a complaint/concern is even more important to many of us. In Hank's case, the vast majority of the respondants to that thread saw the situation for what it was...and had Hank simply processed the refund, it would have had minimal impact on anybody's view of him. He chose to take a different course, and withheld the buyer's money until PayPal judged against him and removed the funds for transfer back to the buyer. Maybe you see nothing wrong with that, but I'd be willing to bet you'd sing a different tune if it was your money.
I, for one, have become very careful about the people from whom I buy....and Hank Boyles' response to that situation presented him as risk I am not willing to take.

I think this all boils down to one thing, if you go into a transaction with respect for each each other, things will end better. The buyer in that thread didn't have a lick of brains and tried to strong-arm a refund through a false paypal claim. Instead of asking the seller for a refund, he asked paypal... so in a sense, the buyer screwed himself.

There were issues on both sides of that transaction - but Mr Boyles could have come out of that untarnished had he not decided to teach Elronza a lesson. I'm not sayint anything about the quality of Mr Boyles' animals, or even that people shouldn't buy from him....but, if a person chooses to excuse/explain failure to do the right thing in a clear cut case by pointing out that he isn't a business man, then I'll make sure he doesn't get my business. What anybody else decides to do is entirely up to them, and is of no concern to me.

This all seems really familiar. Promise to ship one day. That day comes and goes with no responce. I'm thinking this is "Hank.Pyles11" now. HBoyles66 was banned in August. Hank.pyles11 became an new member shortly after. I did a trade with hank pyles about three weeks ago. He was supposed to ship me an apple ipad. I still am getting the runaround... My girlfriend shipped and has no tracking number. A week later, mixup with tracking. I'll ship by the end of the week. The end of the week comes and goes with no tracking or responce. Hank Pyles told me that he would ship today and that I would have a tracking number tonight. We'll See. I don't know that these are the same person for sure but the addresses are close to each other. The excuses are the same. And Still No IPAD. I think he opened a new account under Hank.Pyles11.

Honest folks do not have have to make up multiple names. They take pride in who they are and do not have to hide behind alias' after screwing people. Bayles has shown time and time again by his multiple alias's that he is nothing more then a dishonest thief and someone to avoid at all costs. He has sold animals with deformities, mites and disease and you wonder why he has to change his name so often. He has absolutely no business in this hobby and to purchase from him you are perpetuating his mistreatment of animals and in my book are no better then he is.

I can definitely say he is NOT a good guy.

Yeah well I didn't know anything about this guy before I did the trade. I only found out who he was when a moderator told me. I still wish I could get my animals back.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but you have two options at this point. You can walk away, take the loss, and let the next unexpecting guy/gal take an unnecessary blow, or, you make it your personal mission to do all you can to go after this guy. There are many avenues to document what has happened and file complaints, first being the Internet Crime Complaint Center http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

Most criminals won't stop until they are caught, and even then most likely won't. At least this will help put him on the radar for his next stupid move.

I would also contact his local police department and file a complaint. This may not do much, but several times I have heard of somebody doing this and then coming back on here and the local PD says they "know this guy too well." That's because people made it known. Anytime this guy gets pulled over or is a suspect in a local crime, they will know he is a crook and will offer no quarter.

I would also contact your shipping company and let them know they were a tool in internet fraud. I am sure they also have a complaint process.

There are many things you can do and most won't earn you a penny of your money back (might even cost you), but that shouldn't deter you from doing what you can IMO. Too many people walk away after being scammed because they accept the fact that there is nothing else in it for them at that point.
